People for Animals — Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation and Conservation
People for Animals (PfA), Bangalore is one of India’s most active urban wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organisations. TEF has been a long-term infrastructure partner, supporting the PfA hospital in Kengeri across multiple projects.
Nocturnal Enclosure TEF funded the construction of a dedicated nocturnal wildlife rehabilitation enclosure — the first of its kind at PfA. Inaugurated in March 2025, it provides specialised housing and care for nocturnal species rescued from across Bangalore.
Project Slither Safe TEF supports Project Slither Safe — PfA’s snake enclosure and reptile conservation project. The project focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation, and safe release of reptiles, along with public awareness to reduce fear-based killing of snakes. A dedicated enclosure has been built and is operational.
Critical care infrastructure Recent TEF support has gone towards a major critical care infrastructure upgrade including additional shelter space, an ICU unit, an X-Ray machine, oxygen concentrators, and wildlife rescue and response equipment.
Ultrasound equipment An earlier grant funded the purchase of ultrasound equipment for surgical procedures, improving diagnostic and treatment outcomes for injured wildlife.
PfA’s work saves thousands of animals every year — from injured strays and birds to reptiles and rescued wildlife. TEF’s partnership reflects a long-term commitment to animal welfare and the people who dedicate their lives to it.
